Chokes designed with the intention to replace iron powder cores in applications used in the frequency range of 25kHz - 500kHz with high stability of operating parameters maintained.
The main advantages of RTMSS cores include up to tenfold reduction of losses in the core and up to five times higher limit frequency with respect to metal-powder cores.
These cores offer lower losses and lower operating temperature of the choke (transformer). Therefore it is possible to achieve more power at the same choke size or reduce the size of the converter (operating at a higher frequency).

It is designed to replace iron powder by offering much lower losses, with energy storage capability higher than MPP. Super-MSS cores are an excellent choice for energy storage and filter inductor applications in Switch Mode Power Supplies. The low loss properties of Super-MSS cores minimizes the temperature rise at power frequencies to well below that of a similar sized iron powder core. The DC Bias characteristics of Super-MSS are also excellent compared to iron powder of similar permeabilities and size.
